The Board of Directors met on July 9. Meeting minutes can be found here, once approved. Here are the highlights:
- Summer events! We don’t have a gym yet, but we’re dedicated to building community. We discussed details of our upcoming 7/10 Bouldering Meetup (which looks like it will turn into a hike due to wet weather) and 7/12 Climber Coffee. Join us! More event details can be found here.
- What’s App! We’re starting to use more of its functionality as an organizational and community building tool. More soon.
- In our ongoing search for a space, we are going to start working with a dedicated commercial real estate agent.
- We’re formalizing board subcommittees/circles to streamline the work and communication of the board. This will also facilitate bringing in volunteers more easily to expand our volunteer team.
- Meetings! We’re experimenting with specific meeting facilitation tools so that our meetings more closely reflect the values and pillars of the co-op.
- We got updates on a couple of potential gym spaces and are moving forward with next steps. None of the spaces we’re looking at right now are move-in ready, and there would be a longer road to get in.
Community leads on commercial spaces for rent are always appreciated!
Our next Board of Directors meeting will be Aug 13. Meetings take place at 6:30pm upstairs at IME. Public welcome!
