Whew, rainy May! The next few days look gorgeous – hope to see you out on some dry rock.
The Board of Directors met on May 21. Full meeting minutes here. The brief updates:
- We continue to work on organizing our mailing lists, Co-op annual calendar, outreach, and our volunteer database.
- We visited a potential rental space that likely won’t work due to parking concerns on the landlord’s part.
- We discussed a potential space in No. Conway, although the rent would be prohibitive unless we can share the space or come up with other community-driven solutions.
- We’re continuing to take steps to amend our non-profit status in NH.
- We’re planning our 2025 summer & fall events and offerings. Some likely possibilities; stay tuned for dates and events:
- Bouldering and/or top-roping meet-ups
- Climber coffee at the crag
- Fundraising for Ice Fest scholarship(s) – the goal here is to work toward making ice climbing and the festival in particular more accessible to those with historical barriers to climbing.
- Some of the co-op board plus a volunteer tackled a large project in May: Moving our climbing equipment (pads, wall panels, cubbies, holds, shoes, and more!) from storage in Glen Warehouse to another location in Conway. The Conway location is temporary; if you know of any other potential affordable storage solutions, please reach out!
