The Co-op Board of Directors met for our regular Board meeting on Sept 10, 2025. Full meeting minutes can be found here. Highlights include:
- With the departure of several Board members, we are actively looking to grow our Board and also our volunteer base in general. But before we do that we’re…
- Developing more specificity around Board roles and responsibilities and in conjunction, developing other volunteer positions. The Board has come to realize, that to open a fully functional gym, a Board of Directors is not enough. In order to realize our vision of a local bouldering gym/community climbing hub, we’ll also need some passionate and organized volunteers with excellent communication skills to take on other administrative roles. - We’re looking into buying used tension board holds, lights, T-nuts, etc.
- We had a long discussion about two potential rental spaces: One is available immediately, but the ceiling height is not ideal. We’re researching whether or not the town would approve this space to be a gym. The other space is still being built out, and has more potential as a space, but there’s no guarantee that the build-out will ever be complete as it’s just in the beginning stages.
Our next Board of Directors meeting will be October 8. Meetings take place at 6:30pm upstairs at IME. Public welcome!
